Having a web site designed?

So what exactly are you paying for

    Domain Registration

Registering your site name www.yourname.com or www.yourname.co.uk or indeed any of the other suffixes available with the appropiate authorities. The initial registration is £10 for co.uk or similar and for .com it is £30. This registration is for two years.

If we take over the hosting of your site then renewal may be sooner. The fees for renewal are £30 for the .co.uk sites and as much as £60 depending where the .com name is registered.

    Hosting

This is annual charge generally paid for in advance, dependent on the hosting plan being used. The annual charge at the moment ranges from £50 to £100. Additional charges may be incurred if special security is required.

    Site Design

The charge for this is included in the initial fee (see pricing page).

Ongoing changes to the site can be split into two main areas.

      - Regular updates; for example changes to a News page or uploading supplied copy. The charges for this will be dependent on the frequency and time taken.

      - Site Updates; major revisions to the site will be charged on a time/material basis. Under special circumstances a flat rate may be charged.

The typical charge for this sort of work is £25 per hour.

It is recommended that the site content is reviewed and refreshed on a regular basis.
